Welcome to
the Metro North’s Children's Ministry Page
We do not just believe
that our children are the "church of tomorrow"... we also believe they
are the "church of today", and are of great value to the body of Christ
now. Jesus expressed this
value Himself when He said, "Let the little children come to me, and do
not hinder them, for the
kingdom
of God belongs to
such as these." (Mark 10:14)
Our
history regarding this value:
November 18, 1994 the leadership of MNC called together a task
group, a representative sampling of the congregation of Metro
North
Church to clarify church
vision and ministry emphasis.
This group voted unanimously that reaching our young people was
of primary importance. Thus
after much prayer, a full-time youth pastor was hired in 1995, a PIONEER
Club chapter was started in 1997 and Metro North Preschool was formed in
1998.
